Dear Customer,

On the 23rd March, President Cyril Ramaphosa placed South Africa on Lockdown for a 21-day period which commences at midnight on Thursday 26th March 2020 in order to combat the further spread of COVID-19. Our management team has been working tirelessly, putting contingencies in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers and business.

Certain businesses providing critical services have been exempted from Lockdown, under Government directive, including inter alia businesses providing critical business continuity services to support the health and safety of South Africans. These broad areas of businesses are required to continue:

• Security and resilience of basic infrastructure;

• Business continuity for critical support services for the health sector; and

• Business continuity for public health and safety, including food security

For our clients operating in the above areas of business, and only in these areas, during the lockdown period we will use dedicated standby technicians for emergency callouts and critical services. No new installations can or will be conducted during this time.

 

Individual engagement and agreement on policies and method statements with clients in above areas of business will be concluded before any teams are deployed to site. FS Systems shall ensure that any staff required to be on site shall be protected at all times, wearing masks and gloves, ensuring not only their own protection from the spread of COVID-19 but also any risk they may pose to spreading the virus.

Furthermore, staff will maintain social distancing practices at all times and have been instructed to immediately vacate site in the event that they feel any cold and flu-related symptoms. FS Systems shall ensure that its fleet of vehicles are available for those staff without their own means of transport.

Office closure
Our physical office and warehouse premises will be closed during this period. Our sales, back office and support staff shall be working from home during this lockdown period and shall thus be available online. We see this period as a unique opportunity to reinvest in process and technologies, and emerge as even stronger organization.
